Falck continues to increase sales of healthcare subscriptions

The Falck Group is experiencing a positive development in the healthcare business, where the strategy to develop and expand the area of prevention and treatment is unfolding. Compared to the second quarter last year, operating profit was slightly lower, because investments of a double-digit million amount were made in digitalisation and the development of new healthcare solutions, which either prevent hospitalisations or reduce exacerbation of physical and mental illness.

“We are seeing positive developments in strategic growth areas, and we are meeting a continued high demand for our healthcare services. This has resulted in underlying organic growth of 3.8 percent, driven by the demand for healthcare subscriptions. In Colombia and Denmark, we have seen a significant increase in the number of healthcare subscriptions with an overall growth of 14 percent. In our home market, it is noticeable that Danish companies want more support on healthcare strategies and measurable efforts to curb sick absence and increase the health of employees,”
says Jakob Riis, CEO of Falck.

In the ambulance operations in the US, Falck increased the level of commercial activity, strengthened operations and renegotiated contracts in line with inflation.

Falck expects to generate revenue in the range of DKK 11.5-12.0 billion and operating profit before special items (EBITA) of DKK 325-425 million for the financial year 2023.
