Student Assistant - Data Engineer Trainee

Are you a motivated student with a passion for data and a desire to learn the ropes of data engineering? We are looking for a curious and proactive Student Assistant to join our team and embark on a journey into the world of data engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful data projects within a dynamic international company. You'll also be supported every step of the way with a dedicated, experienced engineer mentor to guide you on this exciting journey.

What you will learn and do:

  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Learn about data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Work with various data tools and technologies used in a professional environment.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists on exciting projects.
  • Gain practical experience in a real-world data engineering setting.
  • Develop your skills in cloud platforms.

You will be stepping into an international team located in Copenhagen & Warsaw. This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark

About you

We are looking for a student who is:

  • Fluent in written and verbal English
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant study program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field).
  • Eager to learn about data engineering principles and practices.
  • Proactive, curious, and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Detail-oriented and has a structured approach to tasks.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Has basic programming skills (e.g., Python, PySpark) (advantageous, but not strictly required – willingness to learn is key!).
  • Has a basic understanding of databases and SQL (advantageous).
