Falck wins largest contract in Germany to date

From 1 February 2021, Falck will provide ambulance services in the Görlitz district of Saxony. Thus, Falck will provide ambulance services in seven of the state's 11 emergency districts, including the cities of Dresden and Leipzig. With the new contract, Falck will operate approximately every fifth ambulance in Saxony.

The new agreement with Görlitz includes both advanced life support and basic life support ambulances, medical cars staffed with doctors and a disaster management set-up. Falck has won the tender with a "Quality and Innovation Concept" tailored to the contract. The concept ensures i.a. faster response times, improved patient comfort and safety delivered through a newly developed stretcher and an effective disaster management set-up.

In the tender, the customer placed particular emphasis on a wide range of quality and innovation parameters, where Falck proved we can deliver high quality and innovative solutions at a competitive price," says Lars Tue Toftild, CEO of Falck Germany.

The contract runs for five years with the possibility of a two-year extension. With the contract, Falck Germany continues to deliver solid organic growth with a 50% increase in activities over the past 4 years.
