Falck increases revenue - but is impacted by exchange rates

The healthcare group reported revenue of DKK 3,095 million in Q2 2025, which is an in-crease of DKK 79 million compared to the same period last year. The increased revenue can be attributed to a higher volume in the European ambulance business and the de-mand for global travel assistance. Operating profit (EBIT before special items) amounted to DKK 68 million compared to DKK 76 million in the same quarter last year.

The healthcare group Falck continued to advance the delivery of healthcare services in its stronghold markets in Europe, the US and Latin America, achieving an organic growth of 4.1% in Q2 2025.

The growth was primarily driven by Falck’s operations in Europe within ambulance services and travel assistance. However, the operating profit declined from last year. This was mainly due to higher operating costs in the US and Colombia as well as a weakening of the exchange rates in these two countries. The falling exchange rates reduced operating profit by DKK 7 million.

"We continue to implement our long-term strategy which has contributed to organic growth of 4.1%. This reflects the continued demand for Falck's core services and advice, especially in the pre-hospital sector. The quarter's operating profit was impacted by higher operating costs and the development of exchange rates outside Europe. Our current focus is therefore on improving operational efficiency and increasing our market share,"
says Jakob Riis, CEO of Falck.

Falck is making major investments to be ready for the start up of a new ambulance contract in Spain, which will come into effect from Q1 2026 and will cover around 2.5 million inhabitants. These investments will appear in the accounts during the second half of 2025.

In Q2 2025, Falck was also awarded a licence to operate ambulance services in Texas and will now enter into agreements with the local hospitals.

For the financial year 2025, Falck still expects organic growth of around 4%, while the EBIT margin before special items is expected to be at the lower end of the range of 4-5%.
