Compliance and ethics

Business with the highest level of integrity and compliance

Falck plays an important role in the communities where we operate. And we are dedicated to approaching business with the highest level of integrity and compliance.

In this section

We continuously strive to comply with local and international laws, working with competition law and anti-corruption on a daily basis. We seek at all times to act in accordance with the highest ethical standards, including the requirements under the UK Bribery Act and US Foreign Corrupt Practice Act – FCPA – and the spirit of the international conventions aimed at preventing illegal behaviours such as those conventions issued by the OECD and the United Nations.

Our global compliance strategy supports Falck’s global presence, aids the increasing pace of regulatory changes and introduces an innovative and data driven approach to compliance, which will contribute to making Falck a trusted business partner – and it is integral to our commercial model.

The structure of our Global Compliance function supports the overall Strategy in Falck. Global Compliance reports directly to the Falck CEO with underlying reporting lines to the Falck Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

Global Compliance is overall responsible for the Global Falck Compliance programme, which includes the Falck Whistleblower system, Falck Alert. A structure using regional compliance officers is set up within some business areas and for the US market; a Compliance Committee has been set up in order to monitor local US compliance.

We encourage well-functioning markets and are committed to fair competition. Accordingly, we do not accept illegal anti-competitive behaviour or other unethical business practices as a means to win or maintain business.

Modern Slavery Act

Falck is committed to conducting business with fairness, integrity and respect for the law and our ethical principles, and we will continue to combat the risk of modern slavery in our business and our supply chain.

We have published our annual Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement (MSA Statement) in accordance with section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. We have set out the steps taken by Falck during this financial year and steps to be taken in the future to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring in our businesses and supply chains.
