Falck supports EMS2018

In 2018, the European Congress on Emergency Medical Services welcomes researchers, ambulance workers, and health professionals from around the world for the third time. Copenhagen is once again the host city for the event focusing on international exchange of knowledge and experience in the pre-hospital area.

With the title "It takes a system to save a life", 1,317 delegates from 40 different countries participated in EMS2017. Based on this success, Falck has chosen to support EMS2018 as Diamond Sponsor for the third consecutive year.

Director in Emergency DK in Falck, Jørgen Mieritz, has no doubt about the importance of the congress and its many possibilities.

"We are pleased to be involved in the congress once again. I am confident that the EMS2018 will provide exciting exchanges of experiences and new ideas that may contribute to improving our work. It takes a system to save a life and therefore, we see great advantages in having a congress that gathers participants from all corners of the world with the common goal of saving more lives."

During the congress, the EMS2018 European EMS Championship - a competition among EMS personal from all over the world - will also be held. Teams are assessed on teamwork and professionalism as they are placed in realistic scenarios where patient management in critical conditions is the focus point. At EMS2017, a team of Falck rescuers from Denmark was announced winners after several days of competition.

The congress will take place on 16-18 April 2018 in central Copenhagen.
