Falck behind medical clinics in Kazakhstan

Falck has acquired the majority of shares in Open Clinics – a company that, since its beginnings in 2009, has established four medical clinics in Kazakhstan, including two in Kazakhstan’s two largest cities, Almaty and Astana.
The company has 230 employees and they provide a number of basic medical benefits, vaccinations, health checks, physiotherapy, dental work, etc. The clinics also have four ambulances for emergency cases and home visits.
Open Clinics was founded by the insurance company NSK, and Falck will continue to work with NSK after taking over Open Clinics. The partnership also entails that NSK will offer Open Clinics’ service to its customers, including a number of large, international companies who would like to ensure their employees quality health care.
Industrial fire services, safety training and ambulance services are other services Falck is looking to provide in Kazakhstan in the longer run.
”Kazakhstan is one of the most stable and fastest growing economies in Central Asia. We are expecting Open Clinics to expand both geographically and in terms of providing our customers with even more medical benefits and better health care,” says Anders Delcomyn, Executive Vice President of Falck Europe & Asia.
