Falck subsidiary buys Colombian ambulance company

Falck’s subsidiary, EMI, has bought the Colombian Ambulance Company SER, which services 35.000 subscribers with a large fleet of ambulances and homecare vehicles in three major cities in Colombia. The company has 200 employees in addition to an extensive network of physicians.
EMI is the leading Latin American ambulance and home care group of companies headquartered in Colombia. EMI responds to medical emergencies in six countries in the region and operates following the acquisition of SER more than 270 ambulances with 3,400 employees. Additionally, EMI has a comprehensive network of family doctors and ten medical clinics.
​Falck owns 63.1% of EMI.The remaining part of the company is owned by the private equity fund, Tribeca Homecare Fund.
