Falck has acquired Californian Ambulance Company

Falck has acquired the US ambulance company Care Ambulance Service that operates more than 135 ambulances in Los Angeles County and Orange County in California in the US.
Care Ambulance Service services public as well as private clients in the US healthcare sector and handled more than 150,000 medical transports in 2009.
The acquisition of Care Ambulance provides a solid platform for Falck in the western US ambulance market as well as an experienced management team and infrastructure to support further growth in the US.
”Care Ambulance Service supplies high quality ambulance services and will constitute a significant platform in the western US market,” says Falck CEO Allan Søgaard Larsen.
Dan Richardson and Rick Richardson, joint CEO’s of Care Ambulance Service, look forward to joining Falck.
"We are thrilled to be part of a plan to build a nationwide emergency medical services provider based on strong values and competence, and we proudly bring our long history of providing loyal and dedicated service to Southern California into this project", says Dan and Rick Richardson.
In October Falck announced its intentions about also acquiring LifeStar, an ambulance company on the US east coast operating 440 ambulances in seven states.
“We expect to receive the final regulatory approvals related to LifeStar and thus to execute the acquisition within a couple of months,” says Allan Søgaard Larsen.
