Falck, a leading global provider of fire fighting and emergency services, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dubai Civil Defence, thereby agreeing a strategic partnership for the delivery of specialist training and fire fighting development. The goal is to create a customised program for Civil Defence personnel derived from Falck’s international know how and experience.

Civil Defence and Falck plan to jointly cultivate training programs together with theoretical and practical exercises. The focus of the partnership will be specialized instruction in areas such as: safe building inspection and certification; high rise building fire safety; health and safety training; traffic accident response; and; helicopter fire fighting and rescue intervention. In addition, Falck and Civil Defence will cooperate in training to wider industry according to standards such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
The MOU aims to foster a level of competency at the highest standards across a range of risk based emergency scenarios along with the promotion of a safer environment for society in the Emirate of Dubai.
